At a wedding, or any party for that matter, control over your list is of the highest importance. You carefully decide who will be invited, send invites, collect RSVP's... Perfection is a necessity. Even the smallest uninvited guest can be a disaster. Now, imagine if you're uninvited guest looked like this:
Imagine this uninvited guest wanted to make his presence known at your reception, while you were getting ready to cut your cake....and he was crawling across the wall behind you. Not a happy image, is it. No, and for a wedding coordinator, it's even worse. Imagine the panic I felt as I noticed him, and the fact that there was no way I could stop him before everyone else noticed him. Luckily, I had a group of party goers in the far corner, who found extra use for their dinner rolls (No, I'm not joking.). As if a roach in my reception hall wasn't bad enough, the entire table began throwing dinner rolls at the roach. One of the groomsman, who has an arm that would rival any baseball pitcher, hit the bugger straight on, knocking him down...where the GROOM promptly squashed the problem. Now, that's what I call putting your foot down on uninvited guests.
